For those brave, who look in the mirror - America is Long Gone.

We can no more vote it back into existence than our Founding Fathers voted it into existence.

America was brought into existence through many means - most of them sacrificial and rather aggressive. The ubiquitous foundation that established America - however, has been non existent for years. That is a God fearing reverence which applied itself so very pragmatically.

Instead, we unapologetically spit in the face of God, saying we have a faith and singing God Bless America.

Well... He says He will not be mocked. We can vote for whoever we want.... yet untill we resort to an honest FEAR in the Almighty God and His son Jesus - even in these New Testament days... we'll continue to yearn & stuggle in a straight jacket that He will not release us from. Repent and believe... then we can vote.

Brawl for All that is Good

Offensiveness and Intolerance. We signed up for them when we became Christians. We’re the “Aroma of Death” to those not being saved. Since unbelievers wanted to throw our Genuine One over the cliff for His good works, did we really think they’d want to throw their arms around us? Being His (cherished) imitations, we represent everything unbelievers detest about our Authentic, Almighty One.

We can adjust ourselves to cultural pressures. Lay low and maintain a high degree of oversensitivity, attempting to offend no one… (Judge not… etc.)

I think not.

We must stop approaching our culture with apologetic tones. Let’s boldly proclaim our Truth. Jesus wants us to judge, we must first clean up our own act, that’s all. Also, God loves the sinner who hears His voice. However, He is angry with the sinner determined to ignore Him.

Watch this. Revelation 2:19 says “I know your deeds, and your love and faith and service and perseverance, and that your deeds of late are greater than at first. “ Phew, you’d think that pretty much sums up our lives as Christians. If we’re accomplishing all that, we’ve got it all.

Yet verse Rev. 2:20 “But I have this against you, that you tolerate the woman Jezebel”. Offensiveness and Intolerance.

I’ll just encourage marching unintimidatedly in this Brawl for All that is Good.

 

Hangover Horror

Might we be Amusing Ourselves to Death, as Neil Postman once said?
You know, the Great American Dream ala perversion – eating, drinking and being merry.

No. Something worse lies on the horizon.

America’s tied it’s appetites to triviality so tightly, its strangling reality.

A hangover is lurking… when reality becomes undeterminable.
We’ll become tormented by our own banality.

That’s brutal.

Unholy appetites are like that.

Reality AWOL.
